Anastasia Kolomiets’ life is a story of incredible strength and transformation. From a teenager forced to grow up quickly due to family tragedy to a refugee rebuilding her life in a new country, Anastasia’s journey is inspiring and filled with lessons about resilience, courage, and determination. Today, she stands out as a rising leader in Portugal’s real estate market, admired for her integrity, sharp mind, and dedication.
Anastasia’s life changed forever when she was just 14. Her mother suffered a severe stroke, followed by another when Anastasia was 16, leaving her fully disabled. Overnight, she went from being a typical teenager to the primary support for her household balancing school, caregiving, and decisions no child should have to face.
Despite the weight on her shoulders, Anastasia kept pushing. By 16, she had already begun university and started working multiple jobs to support her family.
At 18, she entered the legal world as a lawyer assistant in a legal firm. Over the years, she grew steadily from assistant to senior counsel gaining experience in several legal companies. Her strong understanding of contracts and regulations eventually led her into the real estate sector, where she later worked with one of Ukraine’s major developers.
That role became her final position in Ukraine, one she held for over five years before the war began.
In 2022, when war erupted in Ukraine, Anastasia’s world shifted again. She left only hours before the conflict escalated and arrived in Portugal a country she had never planned to live in, with no network, no language, and no roadmap.
But she wasn’t starting from zero. Her remote position with The Agency RE (Miami) became a lifeline during this transition. Step by step, she grew within the company and eventually became its Operations Director, a role she continues to hold today. When The Agency RE expanded into Portugal, she took it as a sign that she could rebuild her career in this new place.
Adapting to Portugal’s real estate market wasn’t easy. Compared to the structured systems she knew in Ukraine and Miami, Portugal’s environment felt unpredictable and less regulated. But Anastasia saw opportunity in the chaos.
Her legal background, discipline, and unique perspective quickly set her apart. One of Portugal’s biggest developers was impressed and invited her to learn about their projects. Anastasia dove into research, prepared a powerful pitch, and studied the market thoroughly.
Her efforts paid off. She was entrusted with three major projects almost immediately leading to long-term collaborations and additional partnerships with other developers.
Rebuilding her career in a country where she didn’t even speak the language proved one thing: with preparation and persistence, nothing is impossible.
Working as a transaction coordinator for The Agency RE in Miami taught her that real estate deals are fragile. Even one overlooked detail from someone else can collapse a transaction. That’s why Anastasia insists on staying hands-on, coordinating deadlines tightly, and building backup plans for every step.
But above all, her guiding principle is honesty. She refuses to push a sale just for commissions. If she wouldn’t pick the property for herself, she won’t recommend it to a client.
For Anastasia, trust isn’t optional it’s the foundation of everything.
Today, Anastasia is actively building a strong presence in Portugal with The Agency RE, helping expand its footprint in Europe while maintaining her role with the Miami team.
She is developing a dedicated team in Portugal — people who share her values, work ethic, and respect for clients. She is also growing her portfolio of new developments, a sector she believes holds some of the greatest long-term potential in real estate.
At the same time, she is focused on building her personal brand, aiming to raise industry standards, particularly in a market that lacks structure and transparency.
Success, for Anastasia, is not measured only by numbers. She wants to be remembered for bringing professionalism, clarity, and transparency into every transaction.
