Chandni Malhotra Is Making Law Trendy in the UAE

REAL ESTATE1 month ago

In a world where legal knowledge often feels reserved for a select few, Chandni Malhotra is flipping the script. A lawyer, educator, and digital creator, she is making law simple, accessible, and even inspiring for thousands across the UAE and beyond. As the Founder and CEO of Malhotra Legal Consultancy in the UAE, Chandni has built a cross-border legal brand that combines professionalism with empathy and a whole lot of hard work.
Originally from Delhi, India, Chandni’s story is one of bold decisions and unstoppable ambition. With two master’s degrees, one in Law (LLM) and another in Political Science from the University of Delhi, she began her legal career in the heart of India’s bustling capital. But her aspirations were always global.

I have always believed, as Justice H.R. Khanna once said, that the highest duty of law is to protect the liberty of the individual, even when it’s unpopular to do so,” Chandni reflects. “I knew there was more I could do, more people I could help, and I wasn’t going to wait for the ‘perfect moment’ to start.”

That drive led her to Dubai, where she launched her consultancy firm just under two years ago. Today, it serves more than 60 clients across the UAE, India, the UK, Canada, and other regions, covering everything from business law and compliance to immigration solutions.

Not Just a CEO, a Law Educator Too

Alongside running her own legal firm, Chandni also plays a key role in shaping future lawyers. She is an adjunct law faculty member at Amity University, Dubai, where she teaches a range of law subjects, from corporate law and taxation to family law, giving her students practical insights that go beyond the textbook.
“Education is the most powerful form of justice,” she says, echoing the ideals of Gautam Buddha. “When you help people see clearly, you free them from fear — and that is true empowerment.”
Her teaching style is approachable and practical, something that clearly aligns with her mission to simplify law and empower people with knowledge, whether they are students, professionals, or entrepreneurs.

Legal Education for the Digital Generation

If you’ve ever scrolled through Instagram looking for information on UAE visa laws or business compliance, chances are you’ve come across dubaifactology, Chandni’s fast-growing digital platform that breaks down complex legal jargon into easy-to-understand content. With over 84,000 followers, her account is a go-to hub for expats, freelancers, and young professionals trying to make sense of UAE law.
Through bite-sized reels, carousel posts, and interactive Q&As, Chandni delivers insights on topics like employment rights, tenancy disputes, visa rules, and even crypto regulations.

“The law doesn’t have to be boring,” she says with a smile. “As Mahatma Gandhi said, the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable, and if a 60-second video can help someone avoid a legal trap, then that’s worth creating.”
The success of dubaifactology proves that legal literacy is not just needed, it’s wanted.

Launching a WhatsApp Legal Community for the UAE

Chandni Malhotra

As part of the UAE Government’s Year of Community 2025 initiative, Chandni recently launched a WhatsApp-based legal awareness group. This platform offers real-time support to UAE residents, answering their legal queries, explaining recent policy changes, and offering guidance on common issues.

“Indira Gandhi once said the power to question is the basis of all progress. I believe that too, and WhatsApp is the perfect place for people to ask without fear or hesitation.”
This grassroots-level legal aid approach is free, accessible, and deeply aligned with Chandni’s mission to empower through education.

Speaker, Leader, and Role Model

Chandni’s influence isn’t limited to the classroom or the digital world. She is a regular speaker at global leadership and women empowerment forums, including the International Women Leaders Congress. She has also been a guest on platforms like the Emirates Love Podcast, discussing female leadership in the legal world, the challenges of entrepreneurship, and the importance of integrity in law.

“Buddha taught that words have the power to both destroy and heal, so I choose mine carefully,” she says. “As a woman in law, you’re often underestimated. But that’s your edge. If you use your voice with honesty and clarity, people listen.”

For Chandni, doing the right thing trumps doing the popular thing. Her work, teaching, and content are all guided by that principle, because in her words, “Knowledge is not power unless it is shared.”
