The crackdown, carried out early Monday morning, targeted encroachments on land meant for the Peerzadiguda Muslim cemetery, where realtors had illegally laid plots, constructed walls, and were attempting to sell them as residential properties. This illegal activity not only violated zoning and land use regulations but also disrespected the sanctity of the burial ground, drawing public outrage.

Unauthorized Plots in Sacred Grounds

According to HYDRAA officials, the land in question belongs to the Waqf Board, and it is protected under law for religious and community use.
