Kurat Ul Ain (also known as Qurat Ul Ain or Qurat Wani) is a name that’s rapidly becoming synonymous with ambition, grit, and real estate excellence in Dubai. With over 12.3K followers on her Instagram profile (and 604 posts), she is not just a social media presence, but a powerhouse entrepreneur: Founder & Chief Leadership Officer (CLO) at DRE Homes. Through her journey, she inspires thousands showing how a humble start paired with fierce determination can build an empire.
Kurat’s story reads like a script for a startup movie. She came to the UAE about 20 years ago, pursuing an education while working part-time to support herself. One of her first jobs: selling ice cream at a supermarket in Sharjah for just AED 20/hour. But she didn’t stop there. After finishing her studies, she moved into hospitality marketing, selling hotel privilege cards. Her natural sales talent shone through she was making tens of thousands of dirhams per month. That early work laid the foundation. Kurat learned how to communicate, how to negotiate, and most importantly, how to build trust. She credits these early experiences for molding her sales instinct.
Her entry into real estate came through family. Her uncle invited her and her brother, Mudasir Wani, to join his firm just as Dubai was growing fast, and as the 2008 global financial crisis hit, despite the challenges, the siblings were undeterred: when her uncle decided to sell, Kurat and Mudasir took over and started from scratch.
They started in leasing, which was safer during uncertain times. The real breakthrough came with a deal for a billionaire, who asked them for commercial space in Dubai. Kurat and her brother not only delivered, but struck a much bigger deal: they bought 14 floors for the client. That deal became a turning point for both her confidence and her business. Word spread, the business grew, and soon DRE started making waves in Dubai’s real estate market.
In 2007, Kurat and Mudasir formally launched DRE Real Estate.
Under her leadership, DRE has expanded far beyond just sales.
Today, it offers off plan property sales, secondary-market sales, leasing, property management & holiday homes.
One of the most symbolic moments in DRE’s growth happened recently: the company opened its new 14,000square-foot headquarters in Dubai Hills Estate with 200 employees.
This marks not only a physical expansion, but a statement DRE is here to stay and to lead.

Kurat’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2024, she was awarded Top Female Entrepreneur in Real Estate at the Ultimate Realty Awards, a huge recognition of her drive and leadership.
That same year, Arabian Business ranked her on its Real Estate Legends list, putting her among the very top influencers shaping Dubai’s skyline. Another major milestone: Dubai Holdings awarded DRE the prestigious Black Onyx Platinum Award, celebrating AED 2 billion in sales (from Meraas & Nakheel); a moment Kurat described as a testament to the company’s relentless pursuit of excellence.
What really sets Kurat apart isn’t just her business savvy; it’s her vision and heart.
Kurat’s vision for DRE is rooted in long-term trust & not quick wins. She has repeatedly emphasized a customer-centric approach. The company is investing in technology and AI for marketing, preparing for the future of property brokerage.
She also believes Dubai’s real estate has shifted. Rather than purely speculative investors, the market is increasingly being driven by end-users with people buying to live & not just to invest.
Beyond her role at DRE, Kurat is deeply passionate about women’s empowerment.
She sees her success as not just her own, but as a signal to other women that they too can lead, innovate, and transform industries.
She also underscores the importance of integrity, success without ethics, she believes, is empty.
Her leadership is underpinned by ethical business practices, transparency, and a genuine care for people.
Looking ahead, Kurat is not slowing down. DRE continues to expand, not just in Dubai but ambitiously within the region. She is also focused on further scaling the DRE Academy, which trains and nurtures talent for the future of real estate in the UAE. Her plans also include deepening her commitment to sustainability; she’s spoken about a plastic-free office and environmentally conscious business practices.

Kurat’s journey is powerful for many reasons. First, it’s a real-life rags-to-riches story in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. Second, she’s a woman leading in a male-dominated industry, breaking stereotypes and building her own path.
And finally, her leadership is not just about profit; it’s about people, values & and legacy.
For anyone dreaming of entrepreneurship, especially in real estate, her story offers something concrete: you don’t need to be born privileged, but you do need resilience, vision, and heart.
From selling ice cream to overseeing billions of dirhams’ worth of real estate deals, Kurat Ul Ain’s story is a powerful reminder: with grit, clarity, and integrity, anything is possible.
She isn’t just building a company; she’s building hope, trust and inspiration.
And as DRE grows, she’s carrying her vision forward not just for her business, but for every dreamer who follows her journey.
